• Officials identify victim of Palermo fire (spectrumlocalnews.com) — A Palermo house fire that may have involved an explosion left one man dead and another critically injured after he was first taken to MaineGeneral Hospital in Augusta. Investigators are examining propane systems at the home and urging Mainers to service heating equipment and check smoke and carbon monoxide detectors as winter sets in.
