By fall 2026, the building is expected to house senior services, programs for visually impaired children, and social justice support, significantly expanding local resources right in the city’s core.

Local Catholics are also exploring ways to better showcase the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, while regional homelessness programs face steep federal funding changes that could ripple through central Maine.
