PORTLAND, Maine (March 31, 2025) –Amanda Rand, President and CEO of Spinnaker Trust, has been recognized with the 2025 Crystal Heart Award from the American Heart Association. The award was presented at the Maine Go Red for Women Luncheon, where Rand and Charlie Therrien, President of Northern Light Mercy Hospital, were honored for their efforts to support heart health awareness and improve the well-being of Mainers.

Rand has been involved with the American Heart Association since 2019. Her connection to the cause is personal. Following the birth of her third child, she suffered a stroke caused by a carotid artery dissection, a condition that can be linked to pregnancy. Since then, she has been involved with the Go Red for Women campaign, which raises awareness about women’s cardiovascular risks. She previously served as chair of the 2021 Maine Go Red for Women Luncheon and continues to support efforts to improve education and research on cardiovascular disease and stroke.

“We were thrilled to present Amanda Rand with our 2025 Crystal Heart Award at the Maine Go Red for Women Luncheon,” said Lindsay Colle, the Association’s Development Director for Maine. “Her passion for our mission, coupled with her commitment to making our community a better place to live, are just some of the reasons she was selected to receive this honor.”
