Body Found Could Be Missing Portland Woman: Police

Mary Odano was last seen Jan. 27. A body found Thursday could be that of the missing 67-year-old woman, police said.

PORTLAND, ME — A body found by Portland police on Thursday is believed to be that of Mary Odano, a 67-year-old woman who went missing last week.

The body was found around 12:30 p.m., but authorities did not say where, according to a department release. Police are working with the state medical examiner to confirm the identity of the body and also determine the cause and manner of death.

Odano originally went missing around 1 p.m. on Jan. 27. She was last seen in the vicinity of 605 Stevens Ave. near Evergreen Cemetery and Mayor Baxter Woods.
