Spinnaker Trust Named Among 2025 Best Places to Work in Maine

PORTLAND, Maine (August 26, 2025) – Spinnaker Trust was named one of the Best Places to Work in Maine among small employers, a designation that highlights places of employment that benefits the state’s economy, its workforce, and businesses.

This marks the seventh consecutive year that Spinnaker Trust has earned this recognition, standing out in the category of small employers, those with 15 to 49 employees. Spinnaker Trust, which has a staff of 42, is based in Portland.

Best Places to Work in Maine is a survey competition to determine which participants are the best employers, managed by Best Companies Group, an independent research firm specializing in identifying and recognizing great workplaces.

The program identifies and honors the best employers across three categories: small companies (15–49 employees), medium companies (50–249 employees), and large companies (250 or more employees). To be considered, companies must meet criteria such as having a facility in Maine and employing at least 15 people.

Honorees are selected through a two-part process: an evaluation of each company’s workplace policies, practices, and demographics, worth 25 percent of the score, and an employee survey measuring workplace satisfaction and engagement, worth 75 percent. The combined scores determine the final rankings.
