Top cop applies?

Portland has another acting police chief who isn't saying whether he's applied for the permanent job.

Heath Gorham, acting police chief in Maine's largest city, isn't saying whether he's seeking the job permanently.

But Gorham is expected to be an applicant.

The 20-year veteran earlier this year succeeded Frank Clark, who resigned unexpectedly after two years on the job.
