Aberdeen Council to Consider Budget Amendment Wednesday
The meeting will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday in council chambers.

The Aberdeen City Council will hold an emergency meeting Wednesday morning to consider a budget amendment, according to City Clerk Monica Correll.
The amendment proposes to transfer $73,000 for the medical insurance line item of the budget to the municipal building operation line item to cover a shortfall due to unexpected expenses, said city Finance DirectorΒ Opiribo Jack.
The net effect of the transfer, should the amendment be approved by the council, would be zero, Jack said.
"They will be moving funds from one line item to another line item," he said, adding that this transfer would not increase the overall city budget.
Wednesday's meeting will take place a 10 a.m. in council chambers.
