Aberdeen Police Investigate Home Invasion

Police are asking for help tracking down possible suspects.

Aberdeen police are looking for two men in a Wednesday home invasion.

Police responded to a home the 200 block of Schemechel Street at around 11 p.m. Wednesday.

Two men approached the home near the side door. One was carrying what may have been a short automatic rifle, according to police.

Police said the men demanded money and forced the victims into the kitchen. Someone else in the home heard what was happening and, upon entering the kitchen, was confronted by one of the men. When one of the victims told the robbers that police had been called, the two men fled on foot.

There were no injuries reported, and no money or property was taken, according to police.

The man who was reportedly holding the rifle is described as a light-skinned black man, 20 to 30 years old, roughly 6 feet tall and 165 pounds. During the incident, he was wearing a white T-shirt, black gloves and a black beanie. A mask covered the lower part of his face.

The other man is described as black, 20 to 25 years old and about 5 feet 5 inches tall and 130 pounds. At the time of the home invasion, he was wearing a long white T-shirt, black gloves and a black beanie, along with a mask that, like the other man's mask, covered most of his face.
