
Fresh off his trip to the NBA finals, Aberdeen native Gary Neal is cashing in.
The guard on Tuesday signed a two-year, $6 million contract with the Milwaukee Bucks, ESPN reports.
Neal said he looked forward to being a more featured player in Milwaukee, according to the report.
In game 3 of the NBA finals, Neal came off the bench for a career-high 24 points in 25:14 on the court, including six three-pointers, helping the San Antonio Spurs to a 113-77 victory over the Miami Heat. The Heat went on to win the series in seven games.
Neal spent three seasons with the Spurs, appearing in 204 games and starting 25.
Neal played for three years at Aberdeen High School before transferring to Calvert Hall in Towson. He played college basketball at La Salle and Towson, and played for teams in Europe after he graduated in 2007 until signing a three-year deal with the Spurs in 2007. Neal lives in Havre de Grace.
