This Maryland City Has One Of The Best Beaches In The USA: Report

MARYLAND — If you're looking for the best spot to soak in some sun and sink your toes in the sand, you may want to take a trip to the beach in Ocean City.

According to Tripadvisor's 2022 "Best of the Best," it has one of the best beaches in the country. Out of the top 25 beaches to make the travel review website's list, Ocean City took the No. 13 spot.

"Beach is well maintained, easy to get to, plenty of room, relaxing and fun — what's not to like. Oh and it is free - no beach fees or beach tags," one featured reviewer wrote on the website.

"This beach is well kept and is very nice. There’s plenty of beach to explore and relax on. The tractors that go down the beach in the morning keep the beach looking really nice," posted another reviewer.

Situated along the coast, the resort town in Worcester County is home to 10 miles of continuous sandy beaches—all free to the public.

On Tripadvisor, Ocean City has more than 4,265 reviews with an average rating of 4.5 stars —not too shabby! It boasts at least 115 hotels, 21 bed & breakfasts/inns and 714 vacation rentals.

So which beach in the United States took the top spot? As it comes as probably no surprise, that honor goes to a beach in Hawaii. Tripadvisor ranked Hapuna Beach State Recreation Area in Puako as No. 1 followed by Siesta Beach in Florida (No. 2) and Poipu Beach Park in Poipu, Hawaii (No. 3).
