1,500 Child Porn Files Prompt Plea By Anne Arundel County Man: DOJ
Over 1,500 child porn files were found on an Anne Arundel County man's devices, the DOJ said. He faces up to 40 years in prison.

PASADENA, MD — Over 1,500 child pornography files prompted a guilty plea recently from an Anne Arundel County man, prosecutors said.
The U.S. Department of Justice said 32-year-old Gary Hammond Jackson III of Pasadena on Sept. 11 pleaded guilty to federal charges of sexual exploitation of a minor and the commission of a felony involving a minor by a registered sex offender.
Jackson used his cell phone in November 2022 to produce 13 images of a toddler's genitals, the DOJ alleged, stating that the female victim was then 3 years old.

Investigators said they searched Jackson's home that month and found digital devices that contained over 1,500 files of child pornography.
Prosecutors said Jackson faces 15 to 30 years in federal prison for the sexual exploitation of a minor charge and a mandatory sentence of 10 years in federal prison for the commission of a felony involving a minor by a registered sex offender charge.

Jackson was required to register as a sex offender after his release for separate abuse in 2020, the DOJ said.
The prosecution said Jackson sexually abused a then 6-year-old girl in November 2020 and used his cell phone to produce three images of the abuse.
The DOJ said Jackson also sexually assaulted that victim at various times between January 2020 and December 2020.
Jackson was convicted in that case of a fourth-degree sex offense and second-degree assault in the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County, prosecutors said.
