2 Annapolis Companies Named To Forbes' Best Employers List

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Two employers headquartered in Annapolis have been named to Forbes' 2021 list of "Best Employers."

The annual list ranks workplaces nationwide separated by state, and this year, the business magazine included 70 Maryland-based employers on its list.

The Anne Arundel Medical Center ranked high, at No. 13 on the list. Anne Arundel County Public Schools was also included, coming in at No. 67.

Forbes determined its winners by partnering with market research company Statista, which surveyed 80,000 Americans working for businesses with at least 500 employees.

The anonymous surveys were conducted from October 2020 to June 2021, and the final nationwide list ranked 1,330 employers that received the most recommendations.

Nationwide, employers in health care, education and retail dominated the rankings, Forbes said. They accounted for 41 percent of the 2021 list (up from 38 percent last year).
