ANNAPOLIS, MD — Annapolis will soon be home to "Aventon Annapolis," a new five-story, 250-unit apartment complex with studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom floor plans.

Construction has begun on the complex, which is located at 2555 Riva Road and is scheduled to be completed in 2023. It will span nearly four acres and boast high-end finishes and smart home technology, developer Aventon Companies said in a news release.

Tenants can go for a swim in a "resort-style, saltwater pool," get a workout in at a fitness center with cardio and strength training equipment, play a round of pool or shuffleboard in a game room and work from private day offices, a conference room and a podcast studio.

And if residents have a pet, the complex will offer ample walking space, a dog park, and a state-of-the-art pet spa.

"Annapolis is one of the most sought-after submarkets in the DC metro area thanks to its prime location on the Chesapeake Bay, supply constraints, and a booming local economy," said Mark Coletta, Senior Managing Director for Aventon Companies. "Aventon Annapolis marks our first venture into Annapolis, and we are thrilled to become the premier luxury asset for apartment living in this already prestigious town."
