5 New Speed Cameras Debut In Anne Arundel County School Zones

Five new speed cameras just debuted in Anne Arundel County school zones. Here's where drivers should slow down.

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — On November 1, 2024, automated enforcement cameras will become active in five additional school zones within the county. Citations will be issued following a 15-day warning period. The cameras will be located within the following school zones:

  • Lindale Middle School - Andover Road
  • Hillsmere Elementary - Arundel on the Bay
  • Seven Oaks Elementary - Blue Water Boulevard
  • Belvedere Elementary - Mago Vista Road
  • Brooklyn Park Middle School - Hammonds Lane

In June 2024, the Anne Arundel County Police began implementing the Automated Traffic Enforcement Speed Program by installing portable camera units in school zones, all with a 15-day warning period. Additional automated enforcement cameras were added on July 24, 2024, and October 1, 2024.
