Annapolis Fire, Public Works to Inspect Fire Hydrants
The hydrant flushing could cause the water in area homes to temporarily turn a brown color. Read on for details.

From the City of Annapolis: The Annapolis Fire Department and Annapolis Department of Public Works will be conducting inspections of all Annapolis fire hydrants, starting today, to verify that they are in working order in case of an emergency situation. The inspections are expected to last for several months.
Residents should be aware that flushing water through the hydrants during these inspections could cause the water in area homes to temporarily turn a brown color when turning on the faucet. Allow the water to run until it is clear. The discoloration is not a heath concern.
