An Annapolis man was arrested Sunday and charged with attempted first- and second-degree murder in connection with a Saturday shooting.
Deon Matthews, 22, of the 700 block of Newtown Drive was also charged with first- and second-degree assault, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and reckless endangerment. The charges stem from a report of shots fired in the 1300 block of Tyler Avenue, according to police.
Police who responded to the report found spent shell casings, two live rounds, a red hat and a woman whose vehicle was apparently struck by gunfire, according to police reports.
Matthews remains held without bail, according to online court records.
