Anne Arundel Co. Schools Change Schedule On Jan. 7

Anne Arundel County Public Schools have made a weather decision for Tuesday, Jan. 7, classes. Here's the latest.

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — All Anne Arundel County Public Schools and offices will be closed Tuesday, Jan. 7, because of the ongoing winter storm expected to bring 6 to 10 inches of snow to parts of the region.

For the second day in a row, there will be no instruction for students, the district announcement said. A Code Red is in effect for employees. Unit III personnel must report to their work locations as required.

The cancelation was announced about 4:30 p.m. Monday by the district.

On a Code Red day:

All Anne Arundel County Public schools, school offices, and central offices are closed due to inclement weather.

School Activities: Evening high school and alternative programs are canceled when AACPS is closed due to inclement weather.

After-school and evening activities at schools — including practices, performances, clubs, and athletic events — are canceled.
