A back and forth Heavyweight Battle for the AFC North, and the right to move-on to the playoffs this weekend didn't disappoint.

The headline title for the AFC North Showdown Main Event: The "Rave-Tumble Steel City Rumble" lived up to the billing.

The Ravens' season has come to an end, and it did so in heartbreaking fashion. The Ravens fell to the Steelers, 26-24, last-night, ending their season without an AFC North championship and without a playoff berth for the first time since 2021. Sixth-round rookie Tyler Loop pushed a potential game-winning 44-yard field goal attempt wide right as time expired.

Lamar Jackson connected to WR Zay Flowers on a 64-yard score that gave the Ravens a 24-20 lead with 2:20 remaining. Flowers finished with 138 yards on four receptions. Derrick Henry had 20 rushes for 126 yards. Henry was huge in the 1st quarter rushing for 79-yards.

Jackson went 11-18 for 218-yards 3 TD's and 1 interception. Aaron Rodgers at 42 had a great performance going 31-47 for 294-yards an 1 TD for the Steelers. Rodgers did exactly what Pittsburgh and head-coach Mike Tomlin wanted, deliver in the clutch.

The 4th quarter is what made this game a classic. Both teams combined for 27 points. Prior to Loop's miss, the Purple-n-Black gave up a wide-open, 26-yard touchdown pass from Aaron Rodgers to Calvin Austin III.  Austin caused cornerback Chidobe Awuzie to slipped on the cold turf for an easy score.

That touchdown gave the Steelers a two-point lead and put all the pressure on the Ravens to go on a game-winning drive with 55 seconds left in the 4th.

Pittsburgh will host the Houston Texans on Monday Night Football (Wild Card Round), January 12th at 8:20 PM on ESPN.
