MARYLAND — If you love homes that evoke Clark Griswold, Patch has a list of some of the impressive holiday light displays around your neighborhood and beyond. Every year, we share a guide to displays in Maryland.

Below are the submissions we've received by county. These displays are worth a visit for their fun inflatables, dazzling lights and sometimes synchronized shows.

We'll continue to add to this list through Dec. 24. Send your display photos, address, description of the holiday display and other information you'd like to share about your display to jacob.baumgart@patch.com. Please include your first and last name in the submission. By submitting a photo, you're giving Patch permission to publish it for this feature and future stories. Photos must be original and taken by the person submitting the photo.

Known as the Quarterfield Lights, the display and music turn on at 5 p.m. daily. The music goes off at 9:30 p.m., and the lights stay on until 11 p.m. The display is live now and will be live until Jan. 4.

Archways over the sidewalk are great for pictures and for the kids to run through. These are synchronized to music.

There are vertical lines of lights outlining the yard completely. It looks like snow on the ground.

There are lots of moving pieces throughout the display.

A "Santa's Mailbox" also delivers letters straight to Santa Claus. Santa has been known to write back as long as there is a return address on the letter.

Every Thanksgiving at 8 p.m. marks the annual lighting, including a countdown for the lights to turn on, homemade pumpkin muffins, apple cider and a special visit from Santa. Over 200 people attended this year.

Everyone is welcome to park and walk around on the sidewalk.

It's best to come on a dry day, as the lights tend to short out and most of the display won't be lit when it's rainy.
