Connor Cares Foundation Hosts Comedy Night Fundraiser
Join the Connor Cares Foundation, a local nonprofit based in Edgewater, for a night of laughter and fun for a good cause.

The Connor Cares Foundation is hosting a comedy night fundraiser on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at J. King’s Restaurant & Bar (329 Gambrills Rd, Gambrills). Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and the show will begin at 8:30 p.m.
The Connor Cares Foundation, founded in memory of Connor Freed, a 5 year old boy who drowned, aims to raise awareness and education to prevent drownings and promote pool safety.

Attendees will also have the exciting opportunity to meet a former Washington Redskins star and NFL Hall of Famer John Riggins, who will be the special guest of the night. Attendees may purchase VIP tickets for a meet and greet with the star athlete. VIP tickets are limited and attendees are encourage to purchase their tickets early.
Comedians Mark Eddie and Frank Nicotero will be providing the night’s entertainment. Eddie is known for his one-of-a-kind RockComedy show featuring songs, jokes and spot-on singing impressions. The second entertainer of the night, Nicotero, got his start in Pittsburgh doing stand-up and has since built a long list of impressive work to his comedy career.

In addition to the entertainment, there will be an auction (with a signed football from John Riggins), cash bar, raffles and of course, food! A buffet-style dinner will be served featuring baked ziti, salad and garlic bread.
