Crystal Spring Developers Offer Data Sheet on Their Vision
Developers of Crystal Spring say 1,200 jobs would be created by the development.

The developers of Crystal Spring in Annapolis have issued a fact sheet of sorts in the wake of a series of community meetings rallying against the proposed development.
The proposed mixed-use development would bring together assisted senior living and retail areas to Forest Drive between Hilltop Road and Spa Road. It's a proposal that County Councilman Chris Trumbauer has reviewed and called "too big."
In a data sheet Crystal Spring Development, LLC issued to members of the press this week, the staff began the note with the following:
"While it is unreasonable to assume the property will not be developed, it is reasonable for the residents of Annapolis to expect that the property be developed in a balanced and environmentally responsible way."
What followed was a series of 12 bullet points highlighting aspects of the development, from the perspective of the developers. Among them, the sheet claims that the development would create 1,200 local jobs, and use shuttle buses to and from City Dock to mitigate traffic impacts.
