5 New Shops Come to Annapolis Towne Centre in Expansion

Three retailers and two restaurants are coming to Annapolis' growing shopping district.

Construction will begin next month on a new, 23,000 square-foot expansion at Annapolis Towne Centre.

Developer Greenberg Gibbons plans to expand the growing Parole shopping district with five new additions.

“We are excited to continue to expand our selection of first-rate shopping and restaurant options that have made Annapolis Towne Centre a thriving lifestyle destination and community gathering place,” said Tom Fitzpatrick, president of Greenberg Gibbons.

The five new businesses include:

  • Mission BBQ—a casual barbeque restaurant with brisket, pulled pork, chicken and ribs on the menu
  • Einstein Bagels—a popular bagel chain with other Anne Arundel locations in Gambrills and Severna Park
  • BGR, The Burger Joint—Fresh, award-winning burgers, with tuna, veggie and turkey options.
  • Pier One—The furniture and decor specialty shop will be moving from its Riva Road location to this spot.
  • Bark!—A pet store specializing in ecologically sustainable pet food and supplies.

Construction on the expansion is slated to begin in August on a parcel between Whole Foods and West Street. The new building will also include space for 112 additional parking spots, according to the press release.

The first of the new tenants are planning to open their doors by fall 2014, according to the release.
