Sailboat Concerts Rocking Annapolis Waterway All Summer Long
Concerts aboard a sailboat will rock Annapolis all summer. Boaters and kayakers can enjoy live music playing from an anchored catamaran.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — It doesn't get much more Annapolis than live music on the water.
Every Tuesday through the end of August, Back Creek will turn into a floating concert venue. Musicians will take the stage on a catamaran anchored in the waterway.
The concert series, dubbed Tunesday, is open to the public.

Fans can drop anchor on a boat, paddle up on a personal watercraft or watch from the shoreline. The best place to watch from land is the Ellen O. Moyer Nature Park, located at 7314 Edgewood Road.
The shows are free to attend. They start at 6 p.m. and run until 8:30 p.m. when the sun starts to set.

This is the second season for Tunesday.
This year's shows started on May 20, and they run through Aug. 26.
The series is organized by Chronic Sailing, an Annapolis service offering sailboat charters and sailing lessons.
Chronic Sailing is the brainchild of Annapolis Capt. Shawn Owen. He made a career as a performing musician traveling around Annapolis, along the East Coast and through the Caribbean Islands.
Owen now devotes his time to his sailing business, but he still gets a slice of music through Tunesday.
"Join us for an after-work, casual hang out in a relaxing setting, surrounded by the beautiful nature of Back Creek," Chronic Sailing said on its website. "This is an on-the-water event that is free, family friendly, and open to the community. Enjoy live performances from local musicians aboard a floating stage: an anchored 40’+ foot catamaran sailboat provided by Chronic Sailing."
