Fourth of July Activities Thursday in Annapolis

Join in the fun on the Fourth of July with a parade and fireworks downtown.

The Independence Day celebrations in downtown Annapolis kick off Thursday with a parade, followed by the annual fireworks in Annapolis Harbor.

Watch local organizations, personalities and business owners parade down West and Main streets at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, and stick around for the fireworks display at 9:30 p.m.

The light show will be viewable from several locations, including Spa Creek Bridge, and Susan Campbell Park—both of which afford magnificent views each year, however they are also the most crowded locations.

City officials advise that Spa Creek Bridge, the main entrance to downtown, will be closed to traffic by 9 p.m. to allow for spectators to gather.

Parking will be available in the Park Place Garage or the Knighton Garage for $10 a day, or $2 an hour.  Both garages are on the parade route. For additional information on parking downtown, visit the city's website.
