Green Thumbs Needed For Mass Planting At Truxtun Park Nov. 23

The community is asked to help plant more than 6,000 native trees, shrubs, perennials and groundcoverings at Truxtun Park Nov. 23.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — The community is invited to help plant more than 6,000 native trees, shrubs, perennials and groundcoverings at Truxtun Park Nov. 23. The plants are designed to stabilize the slope of the hill on the backside of the swimming pool in order to help reduce stormwater runoff into Spa Creek.

Tools and gloves will be provided to volunteers. The mass planting begins at 9 a.m. and should end at approximately noon.
