Man Shot Friday in Annapolis After Dispute
A man was shot in the arm after a dispute near President Street early Friday, police said.
A 23-year-old was hospitalized after being shot Friday morning in Annapolis, police said.
Annapolis police said the man, Dejuan Jacarter Hill, 23, of Annapolis, suffered a single gunshot wound to the right arm. He was transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries.
Police said they found Hill in the 900 block of President Street at 2:49 a.m., but upon further investigation, discovered the shooting occurred in the 1100 block of Madison Street.
Hill said he was in the area with a group when a suspect approached him, according to a police report.
"The conversation escalated at which time both subjects reached into their pockets and the group scattered. As Mr. Hill was running he heard a gunshot and felt pain in his right arm," according to the report.
The suspect fled on foot, police said. The suspect is described as a black male; 5 feet, 9 inches tall; weighing approximately 230 pounds, with short corn rows, and was last seen wearing khaki cargo shorts and a white tank top.
