MD Native Maggie Sajak To Join Father On 'Wheel Of Fortune' Stage

Sajak will step in for Vanna White during an episode of "Celebrity Wheel of Fortune​," airing Wednesday.

MARYLAND — Maggie Sajak, a Maryland native and daughter of legendary television host Pat Sajak, will join her father on the "Wheel of Fortune" stage Wednesday when she fills in for Vanna White, according to her social media accounts and reports.

Sajak will step in for White during an episode of "Celebrity Wheel of Fortune," where White will compete against "Jeopardy" co-hosts Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik, TV Insider reported.

A video posted to Sajak's Instagram account showed her strutting in front of the show's famous letter board. She captioned it, "Warming up for Wednesday."

In an episode clip shared on Twitter, White thanks Sajak for taking over her duties for the night.

"Does it seem strange to see someone else at your puzzle board?" Pat Sajak asks his long-time co-host.

"It does," White said. "But Maggie, thank you so much for filling in for me. I know you're going to do a great job."

Sajak, born in Baltimore and grew up in Severna Park, is no stranger to "Wheel of Fortune." Until Wednesday, she's worked as the show's social correspondent, according to People

The episode airs at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
