New Speed Cameras Debuting Near Anne Arundel County Schools

New speed cameras are debuting in Anne Arundel County. Police hope to stop speedsters in these five school zones.

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — Four new speed cameras and a relocated one will debut this week to curb speeding in Anne Arundel County school zones.

The new cameras are located at:

  • Pasadena Elementary - Pasadena Road (Westbound)
  • Millersville Elementary - Millersville Road (Eastbound)
  • Quarterfield Elementary - Quarterfield Road (Northbound)
  • Monarch Academy - Brock Bridge Road (Northbound)

The existing camera at Solley Elementary will be moved from the northbound side of Solley Road to the southbound side.

The cameras will go live Tuesday or Wednesday. Drivers will get a 15-day warning period before the cameras start issuing fines.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department launched five school zone speed cameras in June and activated another five in July.
