Severna Park Middle School Presents 'Fame Jr.'

Fame JR is coming soon to Severna Park Middle School. Featuring 60+ middle school students, the show is set during the last years of New York City's celebrated High School for the Performing Arts in the early 1980s. It is the bittersweet, but ultimately inspiring, story of a diverse group of students who commit to four years of grueling artistic and academic work. With candor, humor and insight, the show explores the issues that confront many young people today. This talented middle school cast is supported by a 20-person student tech crew.

Performances are April 8 at 7 p.m., April 9 at 2 and 7 p.m., and April 10 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $9 in advance at www.spmssings.org or $10 at the door. Severna Park Middle School is located at 450 Jumpers Hole Rd., Severna Park, Maryland.
