Pizzeria Opening 1st MD Location In Anne Arundel County
A pizzeria is opening its first Maryland location in Annapolis. The co-founder is eager to debut in his hometown.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Timber Pizza Company is opening its first Maryland location Tuesday in Annapolis.
Annapolis native Chris Brady is the co-founder and president of the growing pizzeria chain.
"As we get near the finish line of opening Timber Pizza Co. Annapolis I can't express how grateful and humbled I am by the support of friends and family on this journey," Brady said recently on LinkedIn. "We can't wait to share this place with my hometown and welcome all those that pay our town by the water a visit."

Naptown Scoop reported that Timber’s ribbon-cutting is at 4:30 p.m. and the doors open to the public at 5 p.m.
The pizzeria is located at 192 West Street in the Annapolis Arts District. It’s sandwiched between Sailor Oyster Bar and Hilton Garden Inn.

Timber will fill the vacancy left by the Nancy Hammond Editions Gallery, which is now located in Eastport at 416 6th St.
Timber will seat a maximum of 28 people, a public hearing notice posted in the window said this winter.
Brady announced his plans for the Annapolis location in a June 5 Facebook Reel. In the video, Brady wore a Cal Ripken Jr. Baltimore Orioles jersey while pointing out some of his favorite spots in downtown Annapolis.
"This town made me. From my first job cooking chicken here at the Market House to fun nights at McGarvey's," Brady said. "Back in the day, I was a young buck here at Saint Mary's High School."
Brady helped start Timber Pizza Company in a pick-up truck in 2014. The first brick-and-mortar pizzeria opened in 2016 in Petworth, Washington D.C.
The business later added two Virginia locations in Arlington and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. The company also has mobile food trucks based in Washington, D.C. and Richmond, Virginia.
QSR, a quick-service restaurant magazine, reported that Annapolis will be Timber's first traditional franchise and will be led by Brady alongside fellow Annapolitan Travis Katski. The Reagan Airport location was Timber's first overall franchise.
Timber Annapolis will be the first of four new locations that will open this year and be officially announced soon, QSR said. Timber Director of Mobile Operations Aaron Tompkins will be the Annapolis opening general manager.
"Everyone knows Naptown is about a few things: Chilling by the water, crabs and now pizza," Brady said.
QSR said Timber is looking for prospective franchisees in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia and Pennsylvania.
Timber also announced Wednesday that it will soon open in Raleigh, North Carolina.
"When we started Timber 10 years ago, it was all about D.C.," Brady said. "Now that I'm back home, I couldn't take it anymore. It's official folks, Timber Naptown coming soon."
