Dogs need to go out and take a nice long walk. Now, if you are able to do this twice a day, yes, I said twice a day, that's even better.
Dogs, just like us humans, have their own quirks and issues, but one thing aside from behavior and training that could change your relationship with your dog is walking. I don't mean allowing your dog to pee and sniff every single time he feels like it because you know what? that is not a walk. Let him do his business before starting a walk, and then again after you've walked 30 minutes.

I know, I may be asking too much when I say 2 walks a day, but from experience I can tell you that walking my dogs twice a day has kept my pack healthy, manageable, and I have been able to keep my sanity!
Got to go. Where? To walk my dogs, of course!
