Anne Arundel County Public Libraries celebrate banned book week Sept. 22-28.
This week, Anne Arundel County Public libraries and libraries and schools across the nation are celebrating Banned Books Week in an effort to draw attention to book censorship in America.
According to the American Library Association, in 2012 424 book challenges reported to the Office of Intellectual Freedom.
As part of its Banned Books Week celebration, AACPL is asking patrons to name their favorite banned book.
