AACC Offers No-Down-Payment Plan for Early Registration

The new payment plan encourages students to register early.

The following is a press release from Anne Arundel Community College:

Students who want to register in November for spring credit classes at Anne Arundel Community College will have an extra month before they have to put down any tuition money under a new policy announced this month. Registration for spring credit classes opens Nov. 12.

AACC has had a tuition payment plan for several years that allows students to spread the cost of their education throughout the first three months of a term. For fall classes, that last payment of 30 percent of tuition is due Nov. 1. Coming up with 20 percent of the following term’s tuition on Nov. 12—just 11 days later—can be challenging. Under the new policy, that initial 20 percent will be due Dec. 10, but students can still register in November.

"We made the change to assist students who are taking fall classes and needed to make the last fall tuition payment Nov. 1 as part of the college’s no-fee payment plan," said John F. Grabowski, Ph.D., dean of enrollment services at AACC. “ This new policy allows that student to register in November without making a second monthly payment. This policy also encourages students to plan earlier and to register for spring classes at the times and locations they desire before they are filled by others.”
