Bank Robbery Attempt In Annapolis Prompts Woman's Arrest: Police
A bank robbery attempt in Annapolis led to a woman's arrest, police said. Officers found the 34-year-old suspect at her Eastern Shore home.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Police announced recently that they arrested a woman after an attempted bank robbery in Annapolis.
On Friday, officers identified the suspect as 34-year-old Marlissa Lanae Redd of Trappe.
Authorities said they were called to the Wells Fargo at 171 Jennifer Road in Annapolis for the attempted bank robbery on Jan. 16 around 10:45 a.m.

Police alleged that the suspect implied she had a handgun, though she never showed a weapon, and demanded money.
The bank teller refused to give her any money, and officers said the suspect left.

Authorities said they searched the area but couldn't find her.
Detectives said they identified the suspect and on Feb. 4 arrested her at her home in Trappe, located in Talbot County on the Eastern Shore.
Court records show that Redd was charged with armed robbery and robbery, both felonies. She also faces a misdemeanor charge of attempted theft of $1,500 to $25,000, the case file says.
