UPDATED: Police Arrest Man Who Barricaded Himself at Arnold Home
An intruder with a gun has barricaded himself in a home on Shore Acres Drive, police said.

Update (5:23 p.m.)—Anne Arundel police report the situation has been resolved and a suspect is now in custody. A press briefing is being scheduled to disclose details.
Update (3:34 p.m.)—Police have confirmed there are no hostages involved in the incident.
Several police cars surrounded a home on Shore Acres Drive in Arnold, where an intruder believed to be armed with a gun was discovered, police said.Â
Anne Arundel County Police spokesman T.J. Smith said negotiations are ongoing as the man is barricaded in the home. The incident began at about 2:30 p.m.
"We have a barricaded person in a house. Details surrounding it are unclear, but officers have the area blocked off while negotiators attempt to resolve the situation," Smith said.Â
Police urge nearby residents to stay indoors until the incident is resolved.
