Restaurant At 19th-Century House Sold To Annapolis Buyer: Realtors
A historic restaurant in South County was sold to an Annapolis buyer, realtors said. The eatery is attached to a house built in the 1800s.

SHADY SIDE, MD — A Shady Side restaurant owner retired and sold his business to an Annapolis-based buyer, Realtors announced Tuesday.
Brick House of Shady Side, an eatery attached to a 19th-century colonial-style home, was sold for $600,000.
A sign at the establishment, located at 1530 Cedarhurst Road, said the property is circa 1849. The restaurant has served fresh seafood and fine steaks since 1999.

Retiring restaurant owner Peter Litchfield lived in the attached house until he sold the business to Yiannes Kacoyianni.
Scott Shineman of Coldwell Banker represented the buyer. Judith Neighoff, vice president of Hyatt Commercial, represented the seller.

“This property holds a special place in the community, and it was a pleasure working with Peter through this transition,” Neighoff said in a press release. “The Brickhouse Restaurant has been a local landmark for decades, and we’re excited to see how Yiannes carries its legacy forward.”
