Dr. Daniel Maher Joins Dental Designs of Maryland, Hanover MD

Dental Designs of Maryland- Hanover, MD is proud to announce the addition of Dr. Daniel Maher to our award-winning team of dentists. Dr. Maher is a highly accomplished doctor and military veteran, and will be joining the six other dentists of Dental Designs of Maryland, the premier implant and cosmetic dental group, in August 2022 at our Hanover, MD location at 7696 Dorchester Blvd, Suite 1, Hanover MD 21076.

Dr. Daniel Maher grew up in southern California and is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point where he studied Systems Engineering. While always intending to go into dentistry, he felt a duty to serve on the front lines alongside his peers during the Iraq War. He spent ten years as a US Army aviation officer, flying the UH-60 Blackhawk on missions all throughout Europe, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Hawaii. In between deployments Dr. Maher also attended the US Army Engineer School where he obtained a Masters degree in Environmental Engineering. As his time in the military was winding down, he further completed his MBA at Columbia University with distinguished honors, which gave him a unique perspective and insight on his future career in dentistry.

Dr. Maher completed his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at University of Maryland, graduating Magna Cum Laude (with 19 honors, awards, and scholarships). Immediately following graduation, Dr. Maher attended his residency at the Washington DC VA Hospital where he greatly expanded
his skillset, especially in the areas of surgery, digital dentistry, and treating the most challenging medically compromised patients. To his great pleasure, Dr. Maher had the honor of taking care of war heroes from every generation, and even several of the soldiers he served with in Iraq and Afghanistan.
