Elementary Students Offered Free FluMist Vaccine
The free vaccine is being offered from Oct. 21-31 at elementary schools.

The school system and the department of health have partnered to offer free FluMist vaccines to all elementary students.
FluMist is a nasal spray vaccine that helps to prevent the flu virus.
Between Oct. 21 and Oct. 31, healthy children in kindergarden through fifth grade can receive the vaccine at their schools.Â
Written parental consent is required. Parental permission forms along with a vaccination information sheet were sent home with students this week, and must be returned to schools by Oct. 4.
Parents who did not receive the forms can download them from the Anne Arundel County Public Schools website, www.aacps.org. More information is also available on the County Department of Health’s website, www.aahealth.org.
