LINTHICUM, MD — One person sustained minor injuries after a five-person fight last week at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, authorities said.

The Maryland Transportation Authority Police said it was called to the Spirit Airlines ticket counters last Tuesday around 4:15 p.m. for the altercation.

"All involved parties were provided with victims' rights and services information," MDTA Police Sgt. Brady McCormick told Patch in a Monday email.

McCormick said the injured person didn't go to the hospital. He declined to say if the people involved were airport workers or passengers. He does not know what caused the fight.

"This was a misdemeanor assault that occurred outside of police presence," McCormick wrote when asked if anybody was charged. "Anyone involved is able to file charges at the local commissioner's office. All involved parties were provided with information about this process."
