Flood Watch, Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued For Anne Arundel Co

Forecasters have issued a flood watch and a hazardous weather outlook for parts of Maryland, including Anne Arundel County.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch and a hazardous weather outlook for Anne Arundel County and surrounding areas.

For Anne Arundel County, the flood watch will be in effect from 5 a.m. Friday to 1 a.m. Saturday. The National Weather Service says that the region might get one to two inches of rain — with much of it falling in a six to 12 hour timeframe.

The hazardous weather outlook is in effect until Wednesday. Forecasters say that the rain may flood small streams and low-lying urban areas.

Some areas that may experience flooding include Annapolis, Glen Burnie, Severn, South Gate, Severna Park, Arnold, Odenton, Columbia, Ellicott City, Aberdeen, Baltimore, Bowie, Bethesda, Rockville, Silver Spring, Arlington, Alexandria, Falls Church, and Leesburg.
