George Fox Middle School Custodian Charged with Indecent Exposure

Police said Jason E. Beatty, 30, reportedly exposed himself to a 25-year-old woman while peering into her window.

Police said a custodian from George Fox Middle School was charged with indecent exposure after reportedly exposing himself to a 25-year-old woman Friday night.

According to a press release, police responded to the area of 219th Street and Marydell Road in Pasadena to investigate a report of an indecent exposure. They found Jason E. Beatty, 30, walking towards George Fox Middle School. The victim reported that she had seen Beatty outside of her window. According to police, Beatty was not fully clothed and was engaging in a lewd act. Other adults in the residence witnessed Beatty's actions as well.

George Fox Middle School was closed for students on Friday (as part of a scheduled professional development day) so there were no children observed in the immediate vicinity.

According to Bob Mosier, spokesman for Anne Arundel County Public Schools, Beatty has been reassigned to a position that does not involve any contact with children.

"We'll take the appropriate disciplinary steps as the investigation concludes," said Mosier. "Our first and foremost responsiblity is to make sure that our students and employees are safe, that's the reason for the immediate reassignment."

Mosier said that Beatty has been working with the school system for approximately two years and nine months.
