Hancock's Resolution Hosts Halloween Pet Parade

The event was a fundraiser to help raise money for the historic site.

Historic Hancock's Resolution is closed to visitors until next year but they went out with one last hurrah - the Halloween Pet Parade, an annual event that encourages pet owners to stop by with their furry companions and strut their stuff.

The event was a collaboration with Calvert Veterinary Center. Highlights included a costume contest where a variety of pet-related prizes were available. Cats, dogs and even horses were all on hand for the proceedings.

"We're helping to raise funds for the Hancock house. This house is a historic site in the Pasadena area," said Kathy Calvert with Calvert Veterinary Center. "We give our time and prizes but we don't take anythin."
