Leopold's Sentencing Set for March 14

John Leopold's fate as county executive could be postponed until his sentencing.

The sentencing of Anne Arundel County Executive John R. Leopold after being found guilty of two counts of misconduct is set for March 14, reports The Capital Gazette.

Leopold was suspended from his position this week, and the Anne Arundel County Council is set to decide whether to oust him on Monday. But since his sentencing has not been announced, some in the county are saying the council should hold off on its decision.

According to The Capital Gazette, some of the council members are open to amending the measure that would oust him to be decided after his sentencing is announced.
