Local Father-And-Son Duo Win Chesapeake Bay Fall Classic
Steve and Mike Dodson of Pasadena hooked a giant rockfish to win the event.

The father-and-son team of Steve and Mike Dodson won the 19th annual Chesapeake Bay Fall Classic on Nov. 19 with a monster rockfish that weighed more than 51 pounds. The fish was caught on the first day of the tournament.
The Fishing Wire reported on the team's success.
The Dodsons earned $21,875 for their catch. Andrew Turner of Brandywine took second place with a 41-pound rockfish that earned him the top payout of the tournament, $43,225.

The fishing tournament also included a youth division, which Gavin Ridgeway won with a 38-pound fish.
The Chesapeake Bay Fall Classic is a rockfish tournament organized by the Maryland Saltwater Sportfishing Association. Headquartered in Pasadena, this association organizes fishing tournaments and events and works to protect marine resources and the rights of fishermen.
