With the holidays coming, there might be spare time for a little reading.
What better topic to read up on than the holidays? Local librarians have some suggestions about what sort of books to look for.

"Another one that's good for school-aged children is called Bear Noel by Oliver Dunrea," said Murphy. "It's got animals and we love them in stories!"

Matthew Akuino with the had fewer specific suggestions, instead encouraging readers to drop by the branch to check out the holiday section.
"We have a whole section of holiday picture books, including books about Kwanzaa, Hanukkah and Christmas," said Akuino. "Of course, as the season approaches our collection disappears as people check them out!
"We also have nonfiction books about the various holidays," said Akuino. "We've got books about Christmas crafts, holiday cooking, Kwanzaa and so on. The holiday books go like hotcakes!"
Akuino said that anyone looking for holiday reading should contact the local library branch in person or over the phone to get materials as soon as possible.
