Man Charged in Shooting Death of Acquaintance

A Glen Burnie man was charged in the shooting death of a man whose body was found on the suspect's front porch.

Police charged a Glen Burnie man in the shooting death of a visitor to his home on Sunday morning.

Matthew Martin Pinkerton, 34, of Glen Burnie, was charged with second-degree murder, manslaughter and use of a handgun to commit a felony.

When Anne Arundel County police arrived at Pinkerton's home in the 400 block of Arbor Drive, the victim, Kendall Amaz Green, 25, of Glen Burnie, was found dead on the front porch, according to a police report.

The suspect and the victim knew each other, and Green was shot sometime after being granted entrance to Pinkerton's home, police said.

"The motive for the shooting is still being investigated, but early indications are that this was a domestic situation," according to the report.

Pinkerton is currently being held at the Jennifer Road Detention Facility on $1.5 million bond, according to online records.
