Man Struck By Car After Possible Traffic Dispute
Anne Arundel County Police said a man stepped out of an SUV and was struck along a roadside in Pasadena.

A Pasadena man was seriously hurt Friday night after being struck by a car on Route 100 near Magothy Beach Road.Â
Anne Arundel County Police said Timothy Paul Schwoerer, 58, was hurt after a possible traffic dispute involving the drivers and passengers of two vehicles.Â
Police were first called shortly before midnight to the area of Route 100 and Magothy Beach Road for a report of a crash.Â

Andrew Charles Bennett, the driver of a 1990 Acura, told police that he was blocked by an SUV and forced to move to the shoulder near the intersection of Route 100 and Magothy Beach Road. At this point, two people from inside the SUV approached the driver of the Acura.
Police said Bennett tried to drive away, but struck Schwoerer, who was a third passenger who had stepped out of the SUV.Â

Schwoerer was taken to the Shock Trauma center in Baltimore with serious injuries.Â
There have been no charges filed in the case and the incident remains under investigation. No other passengers were hurt.Â
