Maryland PTA Set to Honor DeGrange
The state senator will be honored at the group's convention next week.

An Anne Arundel County state senator is set to be honored by the Maryland PTA next week.
Sen. James "Ed" DeGrange Sr. will be given the organization's Presidential "Champion of Education" Award at the group's annual convention next week in Towson.
“I am honored to be selected by the Maryland PTA leadership for this award,” DeGrange, who represents the 32nd district, said in a release. “The organization does a great job encouraging parent and public involvement in the public school system and it is an honor that they consider me a partner in their efforts.”
Rita Lowman, the PTA's president, cited DeGrange for his support of public education.
"He knows that investing in both our K-12 and university systems is necessary for student success," Lowman said in the release.
