Mechanic (10+ yrs experience)

Job Description: Mechanic (all makes and models)

Duties: (include but not limited to)

*Keep equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles, completing preventive maintenance

Such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, and replacing filters.

*Maintains vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints, conducting

inspections/diagnosing, repairing engine failures, repairing mechanical an electrical systems malfunctions,

replacing parts and components.

*Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives, and adjusting controls and systems.

*Complies with state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.

*Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions , troubleshooting breakdowns,

maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, calling for repairs and assists in cleaning shop.

*Evaluating service and parts options.

*Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.

*Accomplishes maintenance and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Skills/Qualifications:

Candidate must posses an extensive knowledge of both foreign/domestic, gas and diesel vehicles. Must be highly motivated and able to work independently with excellent time management skills. Requires a positive attitude with persistence, flexibility, honesty, and stellar attendance. Safety management, problem solving, dealing with complexity and analyzing information is a must. Lifting of parts and material.
