Pasadena Senior Center Events for November

Here are some upcoming events at the Pasadena Senior Actiivty Center courtesy of the Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities.

• The Pasadena Senior Activity Center, 4103 Mountain Road, Pasadena, will offer an AARP Driver Safety Program from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Nov. 4. The course is free to veterans and their spouses, who must provide some form of military identification. Call 410-222-0030 for registration information.

• Safeway Pharmacy will host a flu shot clinic from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 9 at the Pasadena Senior Activity Center, 4103 Mountain Road, Pasadena. The cost is free with a Medicare Part B card or $30 for non-Medicare Part B patients. You must be at least age 18 to participate. Sign up at the front desk is advisable and walk-ins are welcome on a first come, first serve basis. Call 410-222-0030 for information.

• Musical entertainment by Danny Marchetti with piano and song is scheduled from 1 to 2 p.m. Nov. 10 at the Pasadena Senior Activity Center, 4103 Mountain Road, Pasadena. For information, call 410-222-0030.          

 • Kathleen Fitzpatrick will conduct a Reiki clinic, a Japanese method of stress reduction that promotes a deep sense of relaxation and well being from 9 to 11 a.m. Nov. 17 at the Pasadena Senior Activity Center, 4103 Mountain Road, Pasadena. Two appointments will be scheduled every 20 minutes. Sign up by Nov. 10. Call 410-222-0030 for information.

• The Pasadena Senior Activity Center will host its annual arts and crafts show from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 17 and 18 at the center, 4103 Mountain Road, Pasadena. A hot dog lunch will be available along with homemade goodies at the bake sale table. The event will have a silent auction table and door prize raffles. Proceeds will benefit the senior center. • The Pasadena Senior Activity Center, 4103 Mountain Road, Pasadena, will hold a trip kick-off at 1 p.m. Nov. 28 at the center. Participants can learn about the trips for 2012 and bring ideas for future trips. They also can enter a raffle for a discount on a future trip. Call 410-222-0030 for information.

The Pasadena Senior Activity Center is one of seven senior centers operated by the Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities. It will be closed Nov. 11 for Veteran’s Day; Nov. 21 and 22 for furniture and floor cleaning; Nov. 23 for a county service reduction day; and Nov. 24 and 25 for the Thanksgiving holiday.
